It’s easy to get discouraged if you don't get a sale early on, but Catalog records will last forever (forever-ever). Days, weeks, and months are all brief in the grand scheme of things. On average, records take about one month to sell. It takes just one collector to sell a 1-of-1. Anyone can also easily and affordably show support for you and your work by cosigning your records.

1-of-1 Record Pricing Guide

Pricing is a balancing act. These are some starting points to consider based on what we’ve observed, but above all else you determine your own value.

Price (ETH) Notes
< 0.1 Setting a https://twitter.com/_AbJo/status/1519882050307715072 and pairing it with consistent promo during the 24-hour auction countdown is an opportunity to start a bidding war, allow for price discovery, and make a record more accessible. If you tend to price your records higher, it may be wise to reserve this approach for demos to protect the value of more “official” releases
0.1 - 0.25 We recommend starting here at an accessible price point for artists with little/no web3 following. This can help you build a collector base who will benefit as you increase your listing price over time. It's helpful to familiarize yourself, enjoy your first sale, and adjust prices over time as you see fit, with a goal of building up a reputation in the space
0.25 - 0.75 If you’ve sold a handful of NFTs, this is a good range to list within. Artists who have immersed themselves in various web3 communities often sell in this ballpark
0.75 - 1.5 Artists with high confidence in their ability to sell a Catalog record because of a collector’s demonstrated willingness to support them in web3 tend to list here. However, the majority of unsold records are priced in this range
+1.5 Higher prices tend to work best for artists with influential back-catalog, a history of significant impact in web2, and/or artists with well established collector support in web3
